BlueSense and BlueHelix gasboiler / heat exchanger was recalled on 18 August 2023 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/01813/23. Microbiological risk reported by The Netherlands. Water remaining in the boiler from the factory can cause Legionella bacteria to proliferate and produce a bio-film in the heat exchanger and piping.

Risk Description

Water remaining in the boiler from the factory can cause Legionella bacteria to proliferate and produce a bio-film in the heat exchanger and piping. This can lead to Legionella infection from a shower for example, causing severe illness or even death. The product does not comply with the Regulation on appliances burning gaseous fuels (GAR).
