Blue yo-yo ball with flashing unit was recalled on 19 January 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0060/07. Suffocation risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a serious risk of suffocation because the cord of the yo-yo ball is very elastic.

Risk Description

The product poses a serious risk of suffocation because the cord of the yo-yo ball is very elastic. During the test with a force of 12,4 N the cord of 120 mm stretched to 1210 mm. In addition, a child’s finger may jam into the loop of the cord. Due to these two faults the yo-yo ball may snake to the neck of the child and strangle him while playing with it. The product does not comply with the Toys Directive.
