Bicycle for young children
Bicycle for young children was recalled on 6 March 2009 under EU Safety Gate alert 0299/09. Injuries risk reported by Slovakia. The product poses a risk of injuries because: - sharp edges could come into contact with the rider’s hands, - the handlebar grips do not have sufficiently enlarged and covered ends (28 mm in diameter instead of required 40 mm), - the seat pillar does not contain an insertion-depth mark located at 65 mm from the bottom of the pillar, - cracking and distortion of the saddle assembly occurs during the static strength test, - the chain-guard does not shield the inside face of the chain wheel or the junction of the chain and chain wheel,- the stabiliser wheels do not have the required dimensions and do not pass the vertical load test and the longitudinal load test.

Bicycle for young children; Colour: blue with varicoloured motifs of girls, a red fork, two 12" wheels with mudguards (blue at the front, red on the rear wheel), 2 additional small stabiliser side-wheels, 1 speed, free wheel on the rear wheel, plastic blue and white baskets at the front and on the back, two independent handbrakes, 1 bicycle bell, marking on the frame – "BICYCLE", and on the sticker (rear basket) – country of origin China.
