Risk Description
The product poses a chemical risk because the plastic material of doll's head contains di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) above the permitted levels (measured value: 22.95% by weight). According to the REACH Regulation, phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited when the toy or the childcare article can be placed in the mouth by children In addition, the button cell compartment can easily be opened. Children can suck on these parts or put the small cells in their mouth and swallow them, posing an electro-chemical risk. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 62115.
