Beacon light - E12 capped sensor night light supplied with a candle lamp (portable luminaire) was recalled on 8 December 2006 under EU Safety Gate alert 0788/06. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- the insulation between the contact on the bottom part of the lamp holder and the accessible metal part is not sufficient according to the electric strength test carried out; - the use of the E12 capped lamp is forbidden based on the Joint CENELEC amendment of standard EN 60432;– the necessary marking is missing from the luminaire.

Risk Description
