Risk Description

The toys can easily break, generating small parts. A child may put the small parts in the mouth and choke on them. The product has protruding pieces (the guitar). When playing with the toy or if put it in the mouth, a small child could get injured or choke on it. The toy does not comply with the requirements of the relevant European Standard EN 71-1.

This recall involves a choking, injuries hazard related to BABY STAR.

About this risk

Choking: This product contains small parts that can detach and pose a choking hazard, or its size and shape make it dangerous for young children if swallowed or placed in the mouth. Injuries: This product has a design or manufacturing defect that can cause physical injuries such as cuts, bruises, fractures, or other bodily harm during normal use.

Recommended action

Choking: Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer. Injuries: Stop using the product immediately. Check yourself and family members for any injuries. Store the product safely out of reach and contact the retailer or manufacturer for a replacement or refund.

Who is at risk?

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well. All users, particularly children and elderly people who may be more vulnerable to injury.
