Armbands "Green Monster Arm-Ring" was recalled on 18 February 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0148/11. Drowning risk reported by Cyprus. The product poses a risk of drowning because, in the event of accidental opening of the stopper of the inflation valve, the armband immediately deflates.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of drowning because, in the event of accidental opening of the stopper of the inflation valve, the armband immediately deflates. It is not fitted with a non-return valves to ensure that the inflatable device retains at least 75 % of its original buoyancy after the stopper is open for a period of 2 minutes.The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 13138.
Product Description
Armbands 25 x18 cm in the form of a green monster, packed in a white bag. On the bag there is a photo of a girl wearing the armbands, instructions in English and the trademark of the product.
