Armbands was recalled on 8 December 2006 under EU Safety Gate alert 0789/06. Choking, Drowning risk reported by Spain. Both armbands pose a serious risk of drowning because they failed the tensile test (the stoppers came off when a force of less than 90N was applied).

Risk Description

Both armbands pose a serious risk of drowning because they failed the tensile test (the stoppers came off when a force of less than 90N was applied). These products pose a serious risk of choking because the stoppers fit into the small parts cylinder defined in the standard EN 71-1.Furthermore, the model with reference 3604 (no 1) did not pass the puncture test. These products do not comply with the European Standard EN 13138-1.
