Risk Description

The product has a cord which is too long and it could lead to strangulation. The battery compartment is easily accessible and the AAA batteries could be swallowed, causing damage to the child’s gastrointestinal tract or choking.The product does not meet the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the corresponding European standards EN 71-1 and EN 62 115.

Recommended action

Chemical: Stop using the product immediately. Wash any skin that has come into contact with it. Keep it away from children. Return it to the retailer for a refund if possible. Choking: Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer. Strangulation: Remove the product from the child's environment immediately. Cut any cords or strings if they cannot be safely removed. Never leave children unsupervised with products that have loose cords.

Who is at risk?

Anyone who has used this product, especially children, pregnant women, and people with sensitive skin. Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
