Risk Description

There are long drawstrings with free ends in the neck area which can become trapped during various activities of a child, leading to strangulation and injuries. The product does not comply with the requirements of the General Product Safety Directive nor with the European standard EN 14682.

Recommended action

Cut any cords or strings if they cannot be safely removed. Never leave children unsupervised with products that have loose cords.

Who is at risk?

All users, particularly children and elderly people who may be more vulnerable to injury. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
