AC adaptor - Voltage inverter was recalled on 30 November 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 1248/07. Electric shock risk reported by France. The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- the reinforced insulation between circuits carrying dangerous voltages (230 v ac) and the 12 v dc of the converter is less than required (1mm measured required 5mm),- the socket outlet is not equipped with a cover plate.

Risk Description
The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- the reinforced insulation between circuits carrying dangerous voltages (230 v ac) and the 12 v dc of the converter is less than required (1mm measured required 5mm),- the socket outlet is not equipped with a cover plate. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60950.
