Risk Description
The rubber of the balloon releases an excessive amount of n-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA), n-nitrosomorpholine (NMOR) and n-nitrosodiethanolamine (NDELA) (measured values: 0.008 mg/kg, 0.060 mg/kg and 0.050 mg/kg, respectively). NDEA, NMOR, and NDELA are n-nitrosamines, which may cause cancer through ingestion or dermal exposure. A child could be exposed to it when touching or putting the product in the mouth. The product does not comply with the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-12.
