1.Reading Lamp, 2.Clock & Lamp, 3.Lamp & Clock. was recalled on 11 August 2006 under EU Safety Gate alert 0501/06. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. These products pose a risk of electric shock because:- the live part of the lamp head is accessible by test finger;- the cross section area of the flexible cable is less than required;- the plug fails to meet the requirement of the standard,- the cable inlets on the switch have sharp edges and are not rounded, thus the cable can get damaged;- the internal wires may get into contact with or are pressed to sharp edges;- in case of detachment of soldered connections the wire may slip out of the cover, therefore live parts become accessible.
