Risk Description
The products pose a chemical risk because they contain a high quantity of nickel (Product 1: measured value: 9690 mg/kg) and prohibited colourants (Product 1: Cl 77260, CI 21110 and Cl 12477; Product 2.: Cl 11740; Product 3: Cl 77260, CI 21110 and Cl 12477 )According to the Council of Europe Resolution ResAP (2008)1, nickel levels in tattoo inks must be as low as technically achievable, as nickel has a high allergenic potential. The application under the skin of tattoo inks containing nickel results in permanent contact with a sensitising allergen. The product does not comply with the relevant national legislation.
