Risk Description
Using the hair dye can lead to serious delayed “type IV” contact allergies. The product contains around 3 % p-phenylenediamine (PPD) and 4-Aminophenol (4-AP) as colour-boosting additives. One accident – consumer experienced severe irritation and reddening of the scalp, with oedema, spreading across the forehead, face and neck to the shoulders, and swelling of the eyelids. Consumer is currently receiving medical treatment.
