Risk Description
The dark-blue cotton fabric was dyed or manufactured using the prohibited azo dyes which, through the splitting of one or more azo groups, can form carcinogenic amines listed in Annex 1 Nr. 7 to Bedarfsgegenstände VO (Commodities Regulation or Directive 2002/61/EC).3,3’-dimethoxybenzidine (802 mg/kg) in the dark-blue cotton fabric was present after reductive splitting of the azo dyes.
