Risk Description
This product poses a risk of injuries and burns because:- There is insufficient guarding of the drive chain and sprocket.- The steering mechanism does not have free movement as it contacts the fairing.- The electrical wiring harness was situated next to the fuel tank and did not have adequate insulation causing a potential fire hazard. The battery was also insecure and was not properly insulated.- The braking system had no reserve travel and the operating cable for the rear brake was insecure and could foul the rear tyre.- The fuel and vent pipes were incorrectly fitted and were fouling the machine.- The rear suspension was inadequately welded in parts which would result in the failure of vital components.- There are inadequate mudguards.- There is no evident speed limiting device or stop button.Conclusions: This machine is extremely dangerous to operate and is likely to cause injury to rider and to any other persons in the vicinity of the machine.
