Risk Description
This quad bike poses a risk of injuries and burns because:- There is no differential fitted, causing operating problems for the driver and making overturning the bike more likely.- The drive chain and sprocket is not guarded.- There is a space next to the foot rest, causing a trapping hazard and the possibility of burns from the adjacent exhaust pipe.- There are sharp edges on the bike.- The fuel system was insecure in part.- The bike seat was insecure.- The construction of the bike was extremely poor, with poor quality welding, electrics, mounting bolts, braking and fuel systems.
