Risk Description
There is a risk of injury because the axe was made from brittle material (cast iron, very high tramp materials content / chilled iron). The same risk arises from the inadequate fastening of the handle, which can become loose (hard adhesive, no permanently elastic connection, no positive locking means). There is thus a hazard even if the metal withstands brittle fracture. The material does not satisfy the quality requirements of DIN 7287.
