Risk Description
The product poses a chemical risk because of concentration of carbamide peroxide. According to the specification received from the importer this product contains carbamide peroxide 22% which releases hydrogen peroxide 7.9% by calculation. Hydrogen peroxide and other compounds or mixtures that release hydrogen peroxide, including carbamide peroxide and zinc peroxide, the maximum concentration in oral hygiene products is 0.1% of H2O2 present or released. The product does not comply with the Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC.
