Risk Description
The heads of the dolls contain bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value up to 31.2% by weight) and the head of the small doll (patient) contains di-butyl phthalate (DBP) (measured value 2.7% by weight). These phthalates may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to the reproductive system.The head of the big doll (doctor) contains also di-isodecyl phthalate (DIDP) (measured value: 0.6% by weight) and di-‘isononyl’ phthalate (DINP) (measured value 3.59% by weight). According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles while the phthalates DINP, DNOP and DIDP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children.
