Risk Description
The product contains polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), including benzo(a)pyrene (measured value: benzo(e)pyrene: 0.02 mg/kg, total of PAHs: 1.46 mg/kg) and barium (measured value: 660 mg/kg). Some PAHs are carcinogenic, including benzo(a)pyrene. Salts of barium can be absorbed from the tattoo ink and have toxic effects.The Council of Europe Resolution ResAP (2008)1 on requirements and criteria for the safety of tattoos and permanent make-up, recommends that the level of benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) does not exceed 0.005 mg/kg and the total amount of PAHs does not exceed 0.5 mg/kg . It also recommends that the level of barium not exceed 50 mg/kg. The product does not comply with national legislation.
