Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:the transformer is not compliant in respect of: - classification: this is classified in accordance with the degree of protection against dust and moisture as IP 20, whereas this should be IP 24 or higher, - marking and instructions: it does not bear the correct symbol indicating that it is a short-circuit proof transformer, and the marks printed on the transformer information panel are not indelible, - protection against damage: the transformer did not pass the subsequent hygroscopic test, - insulation resistance and electrical strength: it did not pass the electrical rigidity test, - construction: the primary and secondary circuits are not electrically separated from each other, the transformer is equipped with condensers that create an electrical connection between the primary and secondary circuits and it does not have an IP 24 protection rating. The transformer does not meet the requirements for transformers classified as being Class II; and because the luminaire is not compliant in respect of: - classification of luminaires: in accordance with the type of protection against electric shock it appears to be classified as a Class II lighting chain, but given that it is powered by SELV it corresponds to a Class III. It is not sufficiently protected for outdoor use,- marking: there is no indication that the lighting chain is intended for indoor use only or that the replacement lamps must be of the same type as the originals, - terminals: the terminals do not pass the test for the efficiency of permanent connections, - external and internal wiring: the cable did not pass the tensile test, - resistance to heat: it does not pass the ball pressure test.
