Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the cover on the chaser/sequence box can be removed without the aid of a tool giving access to live parts,- the fuse did not comply with the dimensional requirements, - the lamp holder contacts failed the security test; a force of less than 3N caused the contacts to be completely removed from the lampholder,- the set was wired with a nominal 1.5m between the plug and the first lamp with a flasher unit fixed at 87mm from the plug,- the lighting chain was not marked with an indication of the class of insulation or the voltage of the bulbs fitted no indication of the wattage of the lighting chain and inadequate instructions for use. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
