Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the sample does not pass the electric strength test corresponding to Class II,- there is no reference indicating the kind of bulbs, - there is no statement that the bulbs cannot be replaced, - there is no origin mark, class II symbol, markings of the degree of protection against dust and damp or warning that the lights can be used indoors only on the bulb holder, cable or a label attached to the cable,- the luminaire does not have sufficient mechanical strength in that it does not pass the test with a spring–driven apparatus, leaving active parts accessible after the test,- the terminals do not pass the test for the efficiency of permanent connections,- the cable incorporated in the chain has characteristics inferior to those of the standard and the nominal section of the conductors, at 0.07 mm², is less than the 0.50 mm² required by the standard,- the cable does not pass the tensile test; the power plug does not comply with standard and the length of the cable between the plug and the first bulb, at 1.10 metres, is less than the 1.50 metres required by the standard,- it is not protected against the conditions of damp which may arise in normal use,- it does not pass the electrical rigidity test.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
