Risk Description

This product poses a serious risk because of the application of wrong glass which can cause burning of the skin and temporary loss of eye-sight:- tanning facial => direct burning and temporary loss of eye-sight;-tanning bed with acrylic covers => acrylics gives temporary protection until it is cracked, then burning and temporary loss of eye-sight;- equipment in insect traps => burning of skin and temporary loss of eye-sight.Accidents have been reported: - in Poland: facial burning of one person;- in Sweden: cracked acrylic covers of tanning devices reported by an OEM customer of Philips (i.e. tanning device manufacturer). Furthermore in Sweden, notification of one person burnt.This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive.

Product Description

These lamps are used for tanning beds, facials, insect traps and reprographics. The batch produced on 8/9 September 2006, contains in total 12.532 lamps, of which maximum 3.000 are produced using the wrong glass.
