Risk Description
The software in the battery management control unit cannot detect certain failure modes in the battery. In the vehicles concerned there may be a defect in the high-voltage battery, which could lead to overheating. This increases the risk of fire in the vehicle. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
