Risk Description
The rubber of the red balloons releases an excessive amount of nitrosatable substances (measured total value: 3.99 mg/kg) which generate nitrosamines. Nitrosamamines may cause cancer through ingestion or dermal exposure. A child could be exposed to them when touching or putting the product in the mouth. The design of the safety goggles is inappropriate to protect against droplets. As a consequence, the user could suffer damage to sight from exposure to chemicals. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive, the relevant European standards EN 71-4 and EN 71-12.
