Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the sample failed the electric strength test for Class II luminaries,- the mechanical strength of the lighting chain is insufficient, given that it failed the test with the apparatus activated by a spring, leaving the live parts accessible,- the terminals do not pass the test for the efficiency of permanent connections,- the chain’s cable are lower than that of the type of cable specified in the standard and the nominal cross-section of the conductors is 0.06 mm², which is less than the 50 mm² required by the standard,- the cable did not pass the tensile test, - the plug does not comply with IEC standard 60083,- the length of the cable between the plug and the first light-socket is 0.70 metres, which is less than the 1.50m required by the standard,- it does not provide protection against damp conditions that may arise through normal use, - it failed the electric strength test,- it failed the ball pressure test, - it does not have any markings or safety instructions.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Product Description
The lighting chain consists of coloured Christmas stars into which the lights are inserted. The packaging is a transparent cellophane bag that is sealed at the top with a piece of cardboard on which is written “60 miniature lights”.
