Risk Description
The soother chain on the product can easily break, releasing small parts. The button eyes on the doll’s shirt can also easily detach. A small child could put either of these in the mouth and choke. Moreover, the button batteries compartment in the integrated loudspeaker can easily break, leaving the button batteries inside easily accessible. A child may put them in the mouth and swallow them, which could cause damage to the child’s gastrointestinal tract and/or choking. Additionally, the fibrous stuffing material of the toy is easily accessible due to the weakness of the seams. A small child may put the filling material in the mouth and choke. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive nor with the European standards EN 71-1 and EN 62115.
