Risk Description
The red plastic material of the product has an excessive amount of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value: 1.1% by weight). This phthalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system. The red plastic has short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured value: 0.18% by weight). SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bioaccumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. The product does not comply with the Regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POP Regulation) nor with the REACH Regulation.
