Risk Description
The detachable mains cord poses a risk of electric shock when used with the portable DVD player it is supplied with because:- the power supply unit has a class I appliance inlet and the plug of the cord set delivered with the portable DVD player is of class II and the connector of the cord set is of class I (the protective earth terminal of the connector is not used) although the plug and the connector should be of a type intended for the connection of the same class of equipment and the cord set should be rated according to class of the plug and the connector;- the plug is 2.5 A and the rated current of the connector is 10 A although the rated current of the plug should not be less than the rated current of the connector.This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the European Standard EN 60065.
